The Greater Capital Area Association of REALTORS® (GCAAR) is the voice of Montgomery County and the District of Columbia’s nearly 9,000 REALTORS®, property managers, title attorneys and other real estate professionals. The GCAAR Government Affairs Department monitors and provides lobbying of legislative and regulatory issues for REALTORS® in Montgomery County, Maryland and Washington, DC. GCAAR collectively works with the National Association of REALTORS®, the Maryland Association of REALTORS® and the Washington, DC Association of REALTORS® to protect the public policy interests of REALTORS®, protect homeowners private property rights as well as promote and preserve the right to own, transfer and use real property.
GCAAR also encourages all REALTORS® to participate in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC). RPAC Helps Protect Your Interests in Real Estate.
RPAC contributions are given to candidates who support housing and real estate issues. RPAC strengthens the REALTORS® political advocacy program through grassroots activities, and federal, state and local lobbying efforts. There's only one way to protect your investment in real estate - and that's by investing in RPAC!
