Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar
Founded in 1789, Georgetown University is a major student-centered international research university offering respected undergraduate, graduate and professional programs in Washington, DC, Doha and internationally. The establishment of the Qatar campus in 2005 continues a long history of engagement in the Middle East.
Since 1919, the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service, ranked number one for its Master’s program and fifth overall for its Bachelor’s program (Foreign Policy Magazine Jan 2012), at Georgetown University has devoted itself to educating the next generation of global leaders and scholars in international relations. At the Doha, Qatar campus, students have the opportunity to major in International Economics (IECO), International History (IHIST) International Politics (IPOL) or Culture and Politics (CULP) along with earning certificates in American Studies, Arab and Regional Studies or Media and Politics.
