Mission Working with others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants, and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.

We work cooperatively with partners to protect threatened and endangered species and their habitats throughout our state. Through consultation, cooperation, and communication, our biologists have made great progress in recovering species such as the Etowah darter and the black-spored quillwort. We also work with private landowners and organizations to promote the restoration of Georgia’s heritage landscapes, such as longleaf pine ecosystems. We love to connect people with nature through events in our local communities and with our partners.
