About Good King Hal is the United Kingdom's top professional Henry VIII impersonator and look-a-like. With his mixture of booming voice, imposing figure and wicked humour it's not surprising that he is in such high demand throughout the country.

Michael Farley IS Good King Hal, the UK's number 1 Henry VIII look-a-like and re-enactor. Since first professionally donning the tights and pantaloons of Britain's most infamous Monarch in 2004, Mike has made well over 1,000 appearances as Henry at venues as diverse as Leeds Castle and Hever Castle in Kent, to Hampton Court Palace, Blenheim Palace, The NEC in Birmingham and the EXCEL Arena in Docklands, London. He has also appeared on BBC TV's The One Show and a special on the works of Hans Holbein, Henry's main portrait artist during his reign. He has been on ITV's Tipping Point, BBC Looks West and Children in Need. On the radio he has been a frequent and popular guest on BBC Somerset, plus he has made appearances on BBC Radio 2's Steve Wright in the Afternoon, Radio 5's Danny Baker Show and Radio 4's Saturday Live. He has written, directed and appeared in two short comedy films entitled “The Six Wives of Henry VIII in Four Minutes” and "Henry VIII - And All Because the Lady Loves".
His near legendary school visits have been enthralling, entertaining and educating children in schools all over the UK, and he has even made appearances as the King in Ireland and Germany. His most memorable show so far was as narrator and host at a picnic proms concert at Leeds Castle with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Carl Davis in front of an audience of 6,000. You can also find him working with the Knights of Royal England Jousting team throughout the British Isles.
