|About||The Center for the Humanities theme for 2016-2017 is "Rethinking Global Cultures."|
Connect to the humanities with research and scholarship, interdisciplinary studies, and more.
Theme 2015-16: "Sites of Creativity: Streets, Salons, Studios, and Schools"
The Center for the Humanities will explore the creative synergies of groups of writers, artists, students, intellectuals, or any other self-defined collective produced at different historical moments and in many national and cultural contexts. We hope to bring to Grinnell a wide range of speakers who will delve into the nature of these creative synergies, the success or failure of collaborations, and the role of space, time, and location in producing innovative and experimental works of theory, literature, the creative arts, or political activism.
