HRUC is equipped to treat orthopaedic, sports and work-related injuries, as well as general health concerns such as the flu or sore throat.
Hampton Roads Urgent Care (HRUC), a division of Hampton Roads Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (HROSM), is located adjacent to HROSM’s main office on Thimble Shoals Boulevard in Newport News. With extended hours and a comprehensive, high-end X-ray facility, HRUC will be equipped to treat orthopaedic, sports and work-related injuries, as well as all the typical general health concerns that send people to urgent care, such as non-emergency injuries or cases of flu or strep throat to name just a few.
This clinic is approximately 7,000-square-foot space with eight state-of-the-art exam rooms and an in-house laboratory facility. HRUC will initially be open six days a week with extended hours; will have its own trained staff with an orthopaedic provider on call. Like HROSM, the clinic will accept a broad range of insurances. Overall, it is designed as a freestanding operation with access to the resources of HROSM.
