|About||Learn to throw pottery on a wheel or have fun "hand-building" - we are very excited to be opening a studio and gallery in downtown Benicia!|
We are very excited to be in Benicia, California, bringing the joy of making pottery to others!
After leaving the corporate world and then discovering that he had stage 4 throat cancer in 2014, David Stellato began to learn to make pottery in a small studio in Austin, Texas. He quickly fell in love with this beautiful creative expression, and it carried him through the most difficult year of his life as he endured chemotherapy and radiation to treat the cancer.
Two years later, his life took another unexpected turn when he found out that his mom had ovarian cancer, from which she only had a 13% chance of survival. Moving with his fiancé, Amy Therese, to California to care for her, he continued creating the pottery that he loves. Now, after the successful treatment of his mom's cancer as well, he begins this new chapter of his life by bringing to others the creative outlet that he has found both expressive and healing. You will be inspired by David's passion and enthusiasm for the art of pottery, and we hope you will join us for classes, shopping, or both!
