|Mission||The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is an independent educational institution offering academic and research programs in mathematics, science, and technology designed to meet the needs of the region's youth, workforce, and businesses, and to expand, attract, and create economic opportunities in the region.|
Founded in 2001, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology is the first private comprehensive University established in Pennsylvania in more than 100 years.
Offering undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) disciplines, Harrisburg University has grown into a global institution. More than 3,300 students from 75 different countries are enrolled in Harrisburg University.
The University also has a location in Philadelphia, and takes its programs overseas to India, Dubai, the Cayman Islands, Iceland and beyond.
Graduate-level students at HU have the option to enroll into our new online or traditional ground campus master's degree programs or pick from one of more than 30 graduate specializations, normally consisting of 3 to 4 courses, and continue on to earn your degree in:

Program offerings are authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The Maryland Higher Education Commission granted approval of an authorization to operate at the Southern Maryland Higher Education Center for the Master of Science in Learning Technologies and Master of Science in Information Systems Engineering and Management degree programs.
Approved to participate in the federal Title IV, HEA student assistance programs by the U.S. Department of Education.
Approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for veterans and eligible dependents to obtain education benefits through the Veteran’s Administration (VA).
Approved by the Veterans Administration to participate in the “Yellow Ribbon” program.
Approved by the Department of Homeland Security – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (DHS-USICE) as an eligible institution for the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) to enroll foreign students.
