Description Due to Alberta oilfield cut backs I needed a way to make money. My husband Greg and his best friend Tim had this recipe they called "sick dip"
Full of fresh garlic!! Kept the flu bugs away.
I got them to make some and I hit the streets with free samples., Went door to door, waited for kitchens to close,hit the pubs, parking lots with free samples..
In my first 3 1/2hrs I sold 80dips. Within 2mths I was in 2 business. During the Ponoka Stampede I sold almost 1000 dips in 4 1/2 days.. The dip turn into a Dip/Spread/Dressing really quick.. It is a dip that is good for you.. All the flu bugs going around, especially the kids back in school..
Add a lil dip with their veggies in their lunch kit .. or to mashed potatoes, ceaser salad, roast beef, hamburgers,devilled eggs, bbq steak, baked chicken, stuffed mushroomscaps, roast some salmon, make a meatloaf or shepards pie.. the list goes on and on and the health benefits are endless.. We started an age test (no added preservatives) and got to 8wks and someone ate it haha but at that 8wks it had still not separated. We had the dip lab tested and the results indicated ,. it was uncertain as a best before date " The recommendations was "up to the consumer to decide when it becomes unpalatable, ( sour to the taste )
The fresh garlic is preserving the dip..
We have age tested ourselves in the fridge and got to 8mths before we cook with it and survived :) with no flu bugs!!
We have age tested unrefrigerated for 9wks. After the 8th day we got liquid, but garlic is juicy. After the 9wks we still had no mold or separation..
You can freeze it without separation.. but truly don't.. it is better when you let it sit and age..
The longer it sits the better it gets, the less you need..
An easy and convenient add to any meal..
Roasted veggies on the Q, garlic toast, fried shrimp, baked lobster, spinach salad, asparagus , pasta dishes and bakes, add to soups, sauces, dip some jerky or your favorite chips!!
