Mission Because every single animal has value, the Hill Country SPCA is dedicated to:
Preventing cruelty and neglect of domesticated animals in the Texas Hill Country
Reducing the number of homeless and unwanted companion animals
Eliminating euthanasia of unwanted animals
Fostering responsible pet ownership
Providing shelter and placement services for homeless and unwanted animals
Description The Hill Country SPCA has been serving the animals and people of Gillespie County since 1997. Over the years, the Hill Country SPCA has housed and cared for thousands and thousands of unwanted, abandoned and abused pets. The HCSPCA is classified as a Limited Admission shelter, since we control our intake by maintaining a wait list for admission for adoptable animals. Because we control the intake of our animals, we never have to euthanize for space. The SPCA is not a chapter of any other agency and does not have a parent organization.
