Within the State of Kansas, the KofC have been a tremendous presence. The State of Kansas has 267 councils and over 37,000 members. The KofC in our State conduct the annual Tootsie Roll Drive for people with intellectual disabilities and raised $350,000 in the year 2014
We are the prime sponsor of the Kansas Special Olympics Basketball Tournament in Hays and nearly 1,300 athletes participated during 2014.
Our Pennies From Heaven and Emergency Disaster Aid Program provided assistance to victims of natural disasters with $ 78,000 was raise in 2014.
The Adopt A Seminarian Program adopts catholic seminarians and OTHER RELIGIOUS both financially and spiritually and pledges totaled $235,025 to 108 Catholic Seminarians and 29 of other Religious.
Last year the councils donated $310,00 to the culture of LIFE cause, last year the KofC placed two sonogram machines in pregnancy crisis centers in the Kansas City area.
