Built with respect to the local architectural tradition, the newly renovated Hotel Dimatis has all modern conveniences. Both the guesthouse and restaurant have stone, wood and clay as the main components giving a strong northern European style.
Hotel Dimatis is a family business whose story begins in 1928. The great grandfather, Konstantinos Dimatis, was one of the most skilled confectioners of the time and he passed his technique on to grandmother Katerina, who is mostly famous for her exceptional bread, her traditional pies and her sweets.
At that time and until mid 70s, Dimatis was an attraction for all residents of the area and as it was the only place of entertainment, the patrons were those who adjusted the type of service according to their needs! This means that it was the village’s café, tavern and cafeteria for young people to spend their nights and during the summer it was an outdoor cinema as well!
Guesthouse Dimatis was built in 1988 while there was a renovation in 2011 by the Aesthetic Intervention Group.
Moreover, the restaurant is one of the most famous of the area for its good food and its excellent wine.
