My Aim is to provide peace of mind to parents and carers of young children who live, work or study in my local area. I will give children a welcoming, safe, healthy and happy environment where they will be stimulated, encouraging inclusion, friendship, respect and aspirations. Through various mediums of play and activities I hope to assist parents and carers develop confident, responsible and caring young people.
My Objectives are to ensure the children in my care are
Safe – all children in my care will be kept safe from physical and mental harm.
Healthy –to be a positive role model, promoting and encouraging healthy attitudes, diet and physical exercise.
Achieving – I will encourage children to enjoy learning and to excel in what they enjoy with enthusiasm and praise.
Nurtured – to cultivate a relationship with each child where open communication and the truth is always welcomed.
Active – Daily Schedules will include physical activities, play and games to keep minds and imaginations active.
Respected – each child will be respected as an individual young person and encouraged to respect others in turn.
Responsible – while learning individual responsibility, children can develop community awareness and involvement.
Included – everyone will be treated without prejudice of inequalities, children will be encouraged to do the same.
This brief overview of my service should give enough information to allow parents & carers to make an informed decision on whether my childcare service is suitable for their needs.

About Me - I am a have been a registered childminder since February 2015 but bring lots of experience with children from family, friends and especially my voluntary work. I have achieved Registration from The Care Inspectorate Scotland who has strict registration requirements including ‘fit person’ and ‘fit premises’ checks followed up by annual inspections (details can be found at www.careinspectorate.com). I adhere to a code of conduct from the Scottish Social Services Council (www.sssc.uk.com). I am a member of Scottish Childminding Association who, amongst other things, help keep me up-to-date with new legislation etc. I also have many Childminding friends with a wealth of experience.
I have been volunteering with the local Youth Forum at St Paul’s Church, Provanmill for a number of years including running the toddlers group and Sunday School. My husband of 12 years and I have two children, a son of 8 years and our daughter is 4.
Before childminding I was a hotel manager with a Degree from Glasgow Caledonian University in Hospitality Management, working in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. Being a working parent I have had the pleasure of working with a 3 wonderfully inspiring Childminders, so I know how it feels from the other side!
