|Mission||Our Mission statement: To create a group that gets our younger members more involved in the union, and to keep members informed about the way a union works. Teaching; parliamentary procedures, officer and other active union roles, CBA topics, grievance processes, etc. Also setting up an active Youth Committee within the local, that will provide mentorship opportunities, community service opportunities, and the opportunity to advance our members total skill set within the local.|
The leadership of the IAM have realized that in order for our union to be prepared for the future we must ensure that our youth are engaged, encouraged and given the opportunities needed to become future leaders.
As a member of the IAM we are referred to as "Machinists," if you are a young member we hope that you will be able to identify yourself as a "Young Machinists."

The Young Machinist group is a way to organize our members. Allowing our young members opportunities to get involved and having our experienced members assist and mentor them along the way. Becoming active in the union does not happen overnight, it takes time to learn everything that is involved. We hope that our young members will see the value of this group and participate along our path to becoming successful.
Here at Local Lodge 2323 we are seeking young members that are looking to get involved in the union. Private message us on this page or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
