Ibti's Soup and Catering offers catering services for small and large gatherings, featuring Sudanese cuisine. This business is a member of the BDC Kaleidoscope Kitchen.
Originally from Sudan, Ibti and her family resettled to Memphis in 1999 to escape threats from a hostile government. Ibti started working in food because the two degrees she earned in Sudan in philosophy and psychology are not recognized in the states. For years now, Ibti has been known for the famous soups she made while running the kitchen at Caritas Village, a cafe and community center in Binghampton. The popularity of her soups inspired her to start Ibti's Soup and Catering in 2016. In addition to her soups, she caters traditional Sudanese dishes and wide range of other cuisines.
