|About||We help today’s busy parents take the guesswork out and put the fun back into raising their young children via www.intouchparenting.com|
|Mission||To help parents with young children learn how to calm the chaos, raise emotionally intelligent kids, and nurture a family that thrives.|
For almost two decades, Steve’s experience in helping families as a College Professor, Marriage & Family Therapist, and a Minister has taught him that when your children whine, throw tantrums, or refuse to listen it can feel like you’re doing a terrible job. But you’re not the problem, nor is your parenting! The reason why you feel so bad is that you’ve been given flawed information by well-meaning “experts,” friends, and family who use parenting methods that research proves to be flawed and ineffective.
When your children misbehave, these “experts” will tell you to either ignore, redirect, or punish your child. Until now, parents who follow this kind of advice (and try to stay consistent) often find that things get worse instead of better! As a result, they tend to feel like either something is wrong with their parenting, or even worse, your child!
The Real Reason behind a child’s misbehavior and “drama” is due to hidden biological, psychological, and social forces that drive those annoying behaviors. Once you understand how those hidden forces affect young children, something powerful happens: there is a NATURAL and IMMEDIATE change in how you calm the chaos, raise emotionally intelligent children and nurture your family.
If you want to lower your day-to-day worry, help your family bond, and relax and know you’re doing a great job, you don’t need better boundaries and discipline. All you need is ONE approach that asks three simple questions. Steve can show you a better—and easier way—one that’s not opinion based but evidence-based! He calls it the In Touch approach, and it works!
People may tell you that raising well-behaved, emotionally intelligent, and securely attached children is unrealistic, too hard in today’s complex world. Steve does NOT believe that! So please, join the conversation.
