About After law school, Josh was selected to participate in the esteemed ABOTA Fellowship Program which is a three-month practical training program, including one month with the civil defense firm of Acker & Whipple, one month with civil plaintiffs’ firms of Agnew Brusavich & Victor George, and the final month shadowing Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Daniel Buckley in the courtroom and in chambers.

Shortly after passing the bar, Josh worked as an associate attorney for the Law Offices of Brian D. Witzer, Inc. in West Hollywood, CA, where he supported senior attorneys with all aspects of personal injury jury trials and worked on complex civil litigation matters against major drug manufacturers.

Josh has had five personal injury jury trials since opening his own law office in 2013, more than almost any other personal injury attorney of his years of experience who has their own firm.
Description Before beginning law school, Josh dedicated himself to advocating on behalf of underprivileged and disadvantaged workers as a volunteer advocate for the Workers’ Rights Center of Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County.

After his first year of law school, Josh continued his fight on behalf of workers as a law clerk with Bet Tzedek Legal Services within the Employment Rights Project, where he managed a supervised caseload, conducted client intake interviews predominantly in Spanish, and provided representation in administrative hearings.

Josh then pursued the practice of criminal defense as a law clerk with the office of the Los Angeles County Public Defender in 2011. As a law clerk, Josh prepared witnesses and cross-examination questions for DUI jury trials, interviewed clients in custody, assisted attorneys with all aspects of felony preliminary hearings, and assisted misdemeanor attorneys with the daily calendar of cases.

Josh was also a law clerk with the Loyola Law School Project for the Innocent, where he was part of the team that exonerated Obie Anthony, who served 17 years in prison for a murder he did not commit.
Awards Josh had the privilege and honor of being selected to the Southern California Rising Stars list every year since 2016, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Only 2.5% of attorneys in Southern California receive this distinction.

Josh serves as a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, Consumer Attorneys of California-New Lawyers Division, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, California Attorneys for Criminal Justice, California DUI Lawyers Association, and the California Employment Lawyers Association. He is fluent in Spanish.
