The Kendall Square Association (KSA) is a membership-based organization that consists of companies and institutions committed to promoting the health, vitality and vibrancy of Kendall Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Kendall Square is the commercial area centering around the Kendall Square MBTA station, extending along the MIT campus to the South, to the Charles River to the East, and to the edges of the residential neighborhoods to the North and West. This area is roughly within a 10 minute walking circle around the MBTA's Kendall Square station.
Kendall Square is a special place that offers exciting opportunities to its organizations, employees and residents. Our community is the premier global technology and life sciences hub, and is home to MIT, the world’s leading technology-centered institution of higher learning. Technological advancement, new product launches, groundbreaking scientific discoveries, and crucial commitments for venture capital funding occur on a daily basis. Surrounding all of this activity are nationally renowned civic, cultural and recreational resources. These attributes present us with the opportunity to grow this community that fosters innovation, supports civic involvement, provides lifestyle amenities and offers attractive residential options for workers and residents.
We’re committed to making Kendall Square an even better place to live, work and play. The KSA works with business, civic & community, public policy, and government leaders to inform them on the value, impact and issues facing Kendall Square and the innovation economy. KSA members, through our working groups, help shape our agenda as we focus on issues that directly impact the well-being and continued growth of Kendall Square.
The KSA has more than 175 member institutions located in Kendall Square, including global leaders such as Akamai, Google, Microsoft, VMWare, Amgen, Biogen, Genzyme and Novartis. On behalf of
