The Kristalbond Group of Companies (KBG) is involved in research and development, manufacturing and marketing of the product, KristalBond. KristalBond is a recently invented chemical compound that is manufactured through a patented process known as ‘transparent silicone film-forming composition’. This technology has its origin in Japan.
When applied, KristalBond forms a semi-permanent coating on the glass surface and possesses properties that differentiate it from normal coatings. Functionality is added to KristalBond to reduce harmful ultra-violet and infrared rays transmitting through the glass, thus enabling KristalBond to address issues such as energy savings and global warming.
The KristalBond Group owns the worldwide rights to conduct research and development, manufacture and market KristalBond. The Group believes that KristalBond has the potential to replace plastic film laminates with similar functionalities but with better durability and visibility. KristalBond may be applied to transportation vehicles, glass windows in buildings and computer peripherals such as display screens.
To be a world market leader in the glass coating industry.
To continually research and develop high performing and durable products using nanotechnology for consumers worldwide.
To form strategic business alliances with local and international individuals or conglomerates that coheres to grow a resilient network.
To recognize and nurture each and every individual within the Group to build strong leaders and teams that will spearhead our journey to achieve KBG’s vision.
To create a strong market positioning for our products and corporate identity.
About the Kristalbond Group of Companies
KBG comprises of 3 operating companies. The Group was established with the aim of sharing the above vision They are :-

Co. RN: 598680-K
Marketing and operations arm of the KBG where the departments like Technical Support, Engineering Support, Sales and Marketing, Finance, and Administration are situated.
• KristalBond R&D Sdn Bhd (KBRD)
Co. RN: 483404-V
Continuous product research, development and enhancements are conducted locally in specially built scientific labs.
• KristalBond Manufacturing Sdn Bhd (KBM)
Co. RN: 482531-D
Include manufacturing, packaging and labelling of the finished products for local as well as overseas use.
The shareholders of the KBG are established entrepreneurs who found success in the global business group known as the CNI Group of Companies (CNI) with operations in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and the United States. In 2004, CNI achieved a turnover of USD300 million.
With their shareholders’ concern for a ‘green’ environment, KBG was formed to spearhead this vision which enabled them to contribute their part to ensure an ecologically secure living environment to the world’s community. It is their firm belief that KristalBond is able to make their concern a reality.
A RM5,000,000 pilot research and development centre, exclusively staffed by Malaysian scientists and researchers, was established to enable the transfer of technology. The inventor of KristalBond technology was in Malaysia for two years to oversee the transfer of the sol-gel and nano technologies required for KristalBond manufacturing.
KBG’s headquarters is located at Hicom Glenmarie Industrial Park, Shah Alam, Selangor. With a total floor area of approximately 10,000 sq. ft., the first KBG flagship consists of the management office along with a spacious showroom, state-of-the-art laboratories, with climate-controlled facilities.
KristalBond : Revolutionary Liquid Coating Technology
A technology derived from Japan, KristalBond is a liquid coating applicable to glass surfaces of different shapes and sizes. Functional, the coating once cured and dried, provides a protection from the sun’s heat and ultraviolet rays without causing visual interference.
A breakthrough in today’s scientific and technology arena, its method involves the dispersion and reassembling of molecules and atoms to create a fine and functional product.
The word “nano” is the measurement unit of each new molecule size. A nanometer (nm) is 0.001 (10-3) of a micron. The ingredients of KristalBond are innovated from this technology where its compositions are small, yet functional.
A technological breakthrough liquid, through nanotechnology, KristalBond is able to self-level and suspend the nano-sized particles from gravitational effects. This gives KristalBond a smooth and even finishing.
A Functional Product
KristalBond has 3 basic yet crucial functions. It is able to:
• Reduce 90% of the Infrared ray admittance
• Shield off 99% of the ultraviolet rays admittance
• Allow high visible light transmission
Although sun-protection is the emphasis, KristalBond’s clarity and durability surpasses that of plastic film laminates, providing visual clarity both day and night for a longer time.
Living with KristalBond
Suitable for today’s healthy lifestyle, KristalBond protects you from the sun’s harmful rays at home, in the office and in your car. Because it comes in a liquid form, it is applicable on glass surfaces of any shape including curved and wavy glass, seamlessly. Chemically bonded onto the glass, KristalBond forms a layer of six to seven micron in thickness, KristalBond physically becomes a part of the glass when it fully cures.
Original Specifications Unchanged
Whilst plastic film laminate changes the original specifications of glass, KristalBond retains it. It is non-reflective and crystal clear,
