|About||Kyaninga Child Development Centre is located Fort Portal, Western Uganda and provides much needed therapy services to children with disabilities.|
Helping children with disabilities reach their full potential.
• To provide high quality, specialised and affordable physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to children with disabilities and special needs in the Kabarole District, Uganda;
• To provide daily respite care for families with children with severe disabilities;
• To provide training, education and support to families, carers and communities in the care of children and young adults with special needs.
Kyaninga child development centre (KCDC) was established to provide much needed high quality, specialised assessment, treatment, education and support to children with disabilities, and their families and carers, to enable them to live more independent lives.
There are very limited resources and services available for children with disabilities in this region of Western Uganda and families must travel long distances to access specialist medical care. We provide local therapy services so that more families are able to access the rehabilitation services that they need.
At KCDC we try to make access to care and therapy as affordable as possible for families and carers, who often struggle with the additional financial burden of looking after a child with disabilities or special needs. And just like the children who depend on our support, we depend on the support of donors, sponsors and well-wishers to meet our diverse running costs, including rent, wages, transport and equipment. If you would like to help us, you can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or go to our website www.kyaningacdc.org and donate online.
