Dr Stuart is a fellowship trained, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine. He graduated from Austin College Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Spanish. He went to medical school at UT Southwestern before heading to Galveston to complete his residency at UT Medical Branch. After residency, Dr. Stuart completed a one year fellowship in Sports medicine and arthroscopy at the renowned Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI).
Specializing in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle, Dr. Stuart also preforms joint replacements, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration, and general orthopedics.
Dr. Stuart has a special interst in medical missions and treated patients in the Yucatan and Juarez, Mexico, as well as Machala Ecuador. He completed a month long training in Sydney, Australia. Dr. Stuart served as an emergency responder when Hurricane Ike ravaged Galveston Island in 2009.
Dr. Stuart is a partner at Sports Medicine Clinic of North Texas (www.SMCNT.com) and sees patients at his Carroll Ave office and at Dallas Medical Center. Along with the other Doctors at SMCNT, they cover multiple High Schools in the area including Mesquite, North Mesquite, Rockwall, and Rockwall Heath.
