|About||Carrying the flame for original roots music - Americana, Ameripolitan, Country, Bluegrass, Hillbilly & Western Swing. LIVE MUSIC AT VOODOO LOUNGE, STAMFORD|
There’s a new live music event embracing the best in original roots based music which is set to begin with a Nashville based singer-songwriter and Bluebird Café regular Scott Southworth on July 20th at Mama Liz’s Voodoo Lounge in Stamford. From the team behind the renowned and now locally based Country Music People magazine, their mission is to bring the best Americana, singer-songwriter, old-school country and roots-based live music to the area. In coming months there are already visits on the cards from Nashville, Texas and Kentucky based singers, as well as local artists.
La Flambeau’s inaugural night on July 20th features the mainland UK debut for Nashville’s Scott Southworth who as well as writing hit songs also presents a show on Nashville’s legendary country radio station AM WSM (which has broadcast The Grand Ole Opry for 90 years, making it the world’s longest running radio program).
Southworth will be sharing some of the stories behind his songs in true Bluebird Café style and is supported on the night by leading UK singer and songwriter Ags Connolly who has exploded onto the scene since his debut “How About Now”, as well as local act OldBoy.
