La Mano Coffee Bar is a coffee bar and bakeshop in the Historic Takoma Neighborhood of Washington, DC. We offer manually prepared espresso drinks, a selection of responsibly sourced coffees, and other original beverages. A variety of sweet and savory baked goods are prepared from scratch in house, including our signature item, the hand pie.
La Mano Coffee Bar is principally owned and operated by Javier Rivas and Anna Petrillo, both residents of the Washington, D.C. area for over 10 years. Together, they bring over 15 years of experience in the restaurant and coffee industry to their venture including Javier’s first business, Modern Times Coffeehouse at Politics & Prose Bookstore.
Since 2012, we offered a series of "pop-up" coffeeshops at fellow businesses in the neighborhood. We officially opened on Sept. 3rd, 2013.
