|About||LandGSD seeks to promote a critical discourse surrounding ideas of land, landscape, and landscape architecture.|
Founded in 2008, LandGSD seeks to promote a critical discourse surrounding ideas of land, landscape, and landscape architecture—specifically foregrounding the use of landscape as a theoretical framework for researching, directing, and proposing alternative patterns of urbanization. Our activities include conversations, debates, publications, and lectures by visiting academics and practitioners in design and related fields. As a platform for the promotion of student work, LandGSD attempts to deliver the content of its members and collaborators not only to the Graduate School of Design, but to audiences beyond.
LandGSD is a registered student group at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design made possible through funding from the Graduate School of Design as well as time and content contributions from group members and collaborators.
