About Latino Art Festival in Killeen TX 19 September - 14 October 2011
Description The Killeen LULAC Council 4535 Foundation will be celebrating “National Hispanic Heritage Month” in a very unique manner with a month long juried exhibit of Latino Artists. Our hope is that this endeavor will be a great cultural and educational experience that will honor our Latino predecessors through the vision and interpretation of artists, both young and seasoned, as they see our culture from the past, present and future.
Elizabeth Blackwell once said, “It is not easy to be a pioneer - but oh, it is fascinating!” It is with this enthusiasm we move forward to illuminate another part of our great American culture through education and art with this first of its kind art festival that will bring history, culture, tradition and education to the people of Central Texas and our city. Our council is proud to host this event and cordially invites you to be a pioneer and a partner in this rich educational and cultural experience.
