About The Lincoln County Historical Association (LCHA), created in 1955, is housed in the Lincoln Cultural Center in historic downtown Lincolnton. The LCHA organized the Lincoln County Museum of History in 1991.

Mission The mission of the LCHA is collect, preserve, and present the history and heritage of Lincolnton and Lincoln County, North Carolina from the time of its first inhabitants to the present. The LCHA fulfills its mission through exhibitions, public programs, publications, special events, historic preservation, and collaborative with other history and preservation-related organizations.
Description The LCHA operates the Lincoln County Museum of History, and serves as the nucleus of all history and historic preservation activities in Lincoln County.
