Our program provides family-style meals to food-insecure students and their families to ensure they have enough to eat on the weekends.
Loudoun County Public Schools began a new program called the LEF - LCPS Backpack Coalition in support of the existing school programs. Under the guidance of the Office of Outreach, LEF - LCPS is collaborating with 100WomenStrong, Loudoun Education Foundation, Loudoun Interfaith Relief, Blue Ridge Area Food Bank, and our partner, Palmercare Chiropractic to ensure no child goes hungry. The LEF - LCPS Backpack Coalition's goal is to ensure 100 percent of the families that need our support receive food the weekends and extended breaks, allowing children to focus on their studies instead of their growling bellies!
This is the OFFICIAL FB page for the LEF - Loudoun County Public Schools Backpack Coalition Program. The LEF - LCPS Backpack Coalition Program is a District approved supplemental program to an existing school's program when funding/or food is not available. Under the guidance of the Office of Outreach, the LEF- LCPS Backpack Coalition Program will also provide start-up support for any school that is in need.
Loudoun Education Foundation received a $100,000 grant from 100WomenStrong to match dollar for dollar all funds raised in support of the LCPS Backpack Coalition Program to ensure no child goes hungry.
