The Pétanque Club is Leicester's largest purpose built Pétanque facility with Clubhouse and Licenced Bar
It currently has 12 pistes measuring 15m x 3m
The facility forms part of Leicester Banks Sports Club which is home to successful Cricket and Lawn Bowls teams.
The Pétanque facility was funded by Leicester City Council in 2015 creating 6 pistes and until July 2017 was unused. Further development took place in July 2017, extending the terrain to make 8 Pistes measuring 15m x 3m each enabling Regional and local competitions to be held at "The Banks"
With full access to the on site Clubhouse with Licensed Bar and Club room available for hire, you are assured of a warm welcome whether it is to play or a social visit.
Leicester Banks Pétanque Club is a not for Profit Organisation which means that all of the money raised after expenses through Competitions, Raffles etc goes back into the Club to benefit its members and enhance Club facilities and/or equipment.
Our members enjoy the benefits of Coaching, assistance with competition travel and team kit to name but a few
While still very much still in its infancy, if you fancy coming to try our terrain or even having a go at Pétanque, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. No equipment necessary - you can borrow ours!
Club nights will usually be on a Monday evening and Saturday afternoon with League matches played on a Wednesday evening throughout the summer months. Play will continue throughout the Winter months too for those hardy souls with thermal underwear
There is scope for at least 24 full size terrains and more will be built as and when required to make Leicester PC Leicester's Premier Pétanque Sporting Venue
