|About||LAGHC aims to educate and connect with members of the UCLA, USC, CDU, and the LA communities about the varying local and international health disparities.|
The Los Angeles Global Health Conference (LAGHC) is an annual global health conference hosted in Southern California. Organized by students from schools across southern California including UCLA, USC, and Claremont University, the LAGHC seeks to educate, connect, and engage members of the Los Angeles community in addressing the health disparities both in our backyards and around the world. Home to people from more than 140 countries speaking 224 different languages, Los Angeles's rich cultural diversity makes it an ideal place to examine the current status of world health. It's time for a meeting to bring people together across academia, NGOs, business, community organizations, and the public sector to discuss the pressing health issues impacting our world's wellbeing.
This year, the theme of the conference is Re-Designing Global Health: Innovation and Sustainability, which highlights the myriad of current global health challenges that we face today, including climate change, the implementation of the SDGs, and the need for new health care media and technologies.
