This page is dedicated to connecting Lake Region Arts Council area artists with statewide resources. We are currently collaborating with six Minneapolis/St. Paul based organizations in this endeavor. They are the Sprinboard for the Arts, the Minnesota State Arts Board, the Jerome Foundation, MN Artists, MN Music Coalition, and the Loft Literary Center.
Springboard for the Arts is an economic and community development organization for artists and by artists. Their work is about building stronger communities, neighborhoods, and economies, and they believe that artists are an important leverage point in that work. The Minnesota State Arts Board is a state agency that stimulates and encourages the creation, performance, and appreciation of the arts in the state.
The Jerome Foundation was founded by Jerome Hill (1905-1972), a noted filmmaker, composer and painter, and awards grants to emerging artists in Hill’s home state of Minnesota and New York City, where he spent much of his creative life. The Jerome Foundation is affiliated with the Camargo Foundation in Cassis, France.
