“A school community where learning is personalized and success is ensured.”
Students in the Madeira City School District achieved at a high level on the redesigned Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Local Report Card (LRC). On the previous state report card ratings, the district earned the designation of 'Excellent' every year since the inception of the rating system. In addition, the district recently initiated a report called the Quality Profile (QP) to provide parents and community members a more detailed look at what our community values most in our schools and provides the 'rest of the story' of what makes Madeira such a great place for its students. The most recent QP for Madeira City Schools can be found on our website under About Madeira.
Our students are among the highest performers in the state on the ACT, SAT, and state achievement tests. Madeira is one of fewer than 400 school districts across 43 states and Canada that has been honored by the College Board on the second annual AP® Honor Roll for increasing enrollment in Advanced Placement coursework while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP exams. This indicates that the district is successfully identifying motivated, academically-prepared students who are likely to benefit most from AP coursework. Since 2009, Madeira has increased the number of students participating in AP courses while more than 70% of those students still earn scores of 3 or higher, the score typically needed to earn college credit.
Our district consists of three schools:
Madeira Elementary School
Grades K-4 and a tuition based Preschool
