Founded in 1980, Madison's Children's Museum enriches the lives of kids by providing opportunities to learn through play. We serve children from birth to age 12 and their families, along with the school and community groups that support and influence children's growth and development. The museum offers subsidized $1 admission through its Access for Everyone program, which allows anyone on public assistance to visit regardless of economic barriers. For more information about the museum, including our award-winning exhibits and upcoming events, visit our website.
|Mission||Madison Children’s Museum connects children with their families, their communities, and the world beyond through discovery learning and creative play.|
Madison Children's Museum is the area's premier destination for hands-on fun and learning for the whole family! We have six exhibit areas: the inventive city of Possible-opolis for ages 6 and up; the Rowland Rooftop Ramble, a four-season green roof with animals and gardens; the Wildernest, a global village made with natural, local materials and designed for ages 5 and under; the Bakke Art Studio, where visitors can do a daily drop-in project and paint on windows; the authentic Brand Log Cabin to teach visitors about Madison's pioneer days; and the DeAtley Community Concourse, a free-admission area with several exhibits and a cafe. The museum also offers special programs and events daily; view our website calendar to plan your visit.
