The mission of Maranatha High School is to prepare students for living lives of purpose and distinction, as reflected by character, competency, and community, by developing the whole student through relationships to honor the Lord Jesus Christ.
Maranatha is a college preparatory Christian school located on eleven picturesque acres in Pasadena (adjacent to Old Town). The school provides an educational experience where individual talents are celebrated and nurtured, skills are prepared for a successful college experience, and students are encouraged to grow in their faith. Maranatha recognizes the need for students to develop as whole persons and offers opportunities in athletics, performing and visual arts, international missions, community service, and leadership training.
The school’s athletic program boasts 44 teams in 20 sports and features a state-of-the-art athletic field, pool and gymnasium. Performing arts students showcase their drama, vocal and dance talents on stage at the renowned Ambassador Auditorium. The sharpest minds are challenged with 32 AP and Honors courses from which to choose, and every student can find their niche in one of the 30 student clubs.
