In a middle class Polish household, Bianca is due to be married. Whilst her family busy themselves with tradition and wedding preparations, Bianca and her sister Pauline navigate growing up and womanhood.
Male dominance and power dominant create a backdrop against which Bianca struggles to find fulfillment and ultimately resists her imminent wedding. As her story unfolds, we see a complex portrait of a young girls’ exploration of her sexual and gender identity.
Performed on stage for the first time in London, Mariage Blanc is brought to you by Director, Philip McGoldrick and Producer, Avni Patel. Working in collaboration with POSK (Polish Social and Cultural Association) they bring to life Tadeuz Rozewicz's remarkable talent.
