The Metamora Park District is made up of four parks and a community pool. Black Partridge Park is the crown jewel of the park system with over 400 acres. BPP is home to Metamora Cross Country, Peoria Area Mountain Bike Association and MGHJFL. MYSA also utilizes BPP for t-ball and softball. BPP has 7 trails throughout the woods and hope to add additional trails while complying with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. A significant part of Black Partridge is protected nature preserve. BPP also has two shelters for rental and a playground. Schupp, Brighton and Lincoln-Douglas Parks all have playground equipment and small shelters with picnic tables. Schupp and L/D also have ball diamonds and public restrooms. The Metamora Swimming Pool is home to the Metamora Area Swim Team. MAST, Friends of the Pool and Metamora Foundation began restoration efforts January 2016 and will continually work to ensure the Metamora Swimming Pool is a healthy, happy environment for all. The pool has a kiddie pool area for ages 5 and under as well as two playground areas. There is a concession stand that operates daily. A shelter is available for rental.
In addition to the parks and pool, Metamora Park District offers a variety of programs, classes and events. There is something for everyone. The on-line program guide is available on the website www.metamoraparks.org.
