|About||An integrative nutrition practice that helps people feel and look their best with individualized nutrition plans focused on achieving goals set by you!|
Michelle has witnessed first hand how good nutrition and a balanced lifestyle can foster healing along with medical intervention (when needed) in the care of her clients who have suffered from food allergies, memory and mood disorders, hypertension, high cholesterol and diabetes. She is passionate about sharing what she’s learned to help others.
A severe Vitamin D deficiency started Michelle’s journey to connecting healing with good nutrition. She began incorporating whole foods into her diet replacing processed food and drastically reducing her sugar intake by eliminating all “white” foods. Her improved health fueled interest in the study of nutrition. This coupled with her childhood memories of the use and simplicity of home remedies to cure the common cold and other ailments lead to her decision to obtain a Masters Degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia) in 2014. As part of her education, Michelle has done individual nutrition consultations in various clinical settings, provided nutrition education to children and adults and mentored fellow nutrition students accumulating more than 1000 hours of supervised practice experience.
Michelle is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
CarringtonNutrition is a ministry for Michelle who has a strong desire to help others heal and realize good health with sound nutrition and lifestyle habits.
