Ever thought that there's more to weight loss and nutrition than simply diet and exercise? Well you'd be right!
For way too long the nutrition industry and the media have bombarded us with the message that "you must eat a, b and c and do x, y and z exercise and you will be slim and healthy."... Simple right?
Well if that were true, we would all have done it by now and we would all be slim and healthy. But the truth is, as human beings we are SO much more complex than simple, calorie burning machines. We are influenced by matters of the mind and the body. Our thoughts, feelings and emotions, genetics, childhood, relationships, work, money, passions, beliefs and so much more.
We often live with the belief that when we have "the perfect body" we will be happy and life will be better. We believe that we need willpower to "eat right" and get to the gym. So, not only are were forever searching for unattainable perfection and that non-existent magic pill, when we don't succeed – we hate on ourselves. This works against the very thing we set out to achieve.
