"A non-linear play buoyed by superb performances that through an exploration of kinship, love, missed chances, sexuality, and interconnection serves as a biting reminder to cherish every moment."
"Mr. Panettieri’s ear for dialogue is remarkable, which is funny and frank and incredibly paced (props to director Joey Brenneman, who keeps the whole show moving at an electric pace)... By the end of the play, not only will you feel as if you have spent 90 minutes with three old friends, you’ll feel what Thornton Wilder’s Emily declared so memorably at the end of Our Town – that dizzying awareness of life, in the moment you are living it."
- Lin-Manuel Miranda, Manhattan Times
“Powerful and clever… four outstanding performances.” - Blake Ross
"It’s a rare privilege to be invited into unfamiliar territory and yet to feel instantly at home. Superb actors under the caring and committed direction of Joey Brenneman (with a crack technical team that support the production every bit as lovely as the play's title) beautifully evoke both the banality of daily routine and the sublime potential of human connections."
- Robert Windeler, Backstage.com
"Much as in Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, these are people who haven’t realized how special their time together, their fights, or their heartbreaks actually were. But it’s with a charming, moving fervor that The Timing of a Day celebrates them — and everything else about life we seldom cherish until it’s too late."
