What is a SHOFAR?
SHOFAR (pronounced show-far) is Hebrew for “Ram’s Horn.” We have chosen this word to characterize this ministry for a specific reason. A Ram’s Horn is a trumpet empowered by one’s breath. Biblically, it was sounded to call God’s people to attention and to alert them of HIS PRESENCE. Breath in Hebrew is the word “Ruach” which means “Spirit” thus, the Ministry of Shofar is a Bible Study governed by the “Breath or Spirit of GOD!"
To teach Scripture with a strong emphasis on it's cultural and historical context.
To impart a fuller understanding of the Hebraicness of our faith.
To provoke a renewed hunger for His Word; teaching in a way to bring the Scriptures to life.
To bring GOD honor as we experience the majestic wonder of who HE really is!
