Where children, culture, & nature connect. Playtime in Africa is our children's park project AND a movement for kid-friendly public space in urban Africa.
Mmofra Foundation develops programs and products in inspiring environments in order to promote cultural awareness and learning outside the classroom for the benefit of children living in Ghana and Africa, so that they may become capable and creative change makers for a better world.
We run a monthly "Language Club" for children aged 4 - 15 in a natural environment, involving such activities as reading, drama, art, dance, science experiments, and interaction with cultural personalities from all over the world.
We have used informal, outdoor space for our programs for many years. We are advocates for open space in the built environment for children, as well as thoughtful child-centered design of outdoor and indoor spaces.
We envision sustainably designed, child-focused public spaces in Ghana, which inspire creativity, play and learning through hands-on discovery.
