|Description||Built in 1913 on the lands of the Morunga homestead legally known as Whiririnaki 5K 6E, by the children of Kamariara and Peti Morunga, Moria Marae was erected and later set apart Māori Freehold Land as a Māori Reservation “for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use and benefit of Māori generally” (NZ Gazette, 16 Sept 1965. 52/1545), in the small Hokianga village of Whirinaki!|
