|About||A division of the Home Performance Coalition, NHPC is a nonprofit org committed to the growth of the whole-home energy efficiency upgrade industry.|
The National Home Performance Council, a division of the Home Performance Coalition, is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2010 by a group of professionals dedicated to advancing home performance, or whole-house energy upgrades, in the United States. Home performance is a comprehensive approach to residential energy efficiency that uses building science principles to assess a home’s energy usage. Understanding how a home’s systems interact, can help homeowners prioritize and implement energy efficiency improvements, such as air sealing and insulation, improved heating and cooling, and duct sealing, to save money, maximize comfort, and enhance the health and safety of a building’s residents.
NHPC works with federal governmental agencies, utilities, state programs, contractors, and others to provide cutting edge research and policy analysis to drive innovative concepts, policies and programs aimed at boosting the industry’s growth and profitability. We also work with stakeholders to develop and implement data standards and work to advance smart grid integration that bridge home performance programs and the private sector.
