NREC teaches elementary school students about agriculture, how their food is grown and nutrition. We use entertaining, hands on teaching experiences and garden activites to encourage positive attitudes towards agriculture.
NREC is a non-profit organization whose mission is to nurture and awareness of natural and renewable resources. NREC pledges to teach conservation techniques so these resources will be available to be used by future generations.
The Natural Resource Education is located on the campus of Central Arizona College. NREC presents five programs: Corn Festival- October, From Alfalfa to Ice Cream- November and December, Water Out West- March and as requested, The Arizona Five C's- February, and Veggie Ventures- April
