The Army ROTC program officially formed in the fall of 1917. Between 1917 and 1942, more than 14,600 students received military training in the Army ROTC program. In the past 90 years, the program has produced over 2,500 Army officers. Twenty-four of NC State’s Army ROTC graduates have reached the rank of Brigadier General or higher.
