October-November 2012
Set in a fictional Georgia trailer park in 1987, Two from the Trailer Court retells the Cinderella and Salome stories as written and presented by The Wishing Well Players, a fledgling theater company that has taken up residence in The Wishing Well Trailer Court. Dirty Girl is a musical comedy one-act following a girl who wishes she could go to the prom. Her fairy god cousin through marriage appears and answers her wish with the 1980s prom of her dreams. At the prom, she faces off with the popular jock, the nerd, and the cheerleaders, quickly learning that the real world can be even better than fairytales.
Based on Salome by Oscar Wilde, Salome Goes All the Way! is a one-act musical tragedy about a prominent televangelist family celebrating the patriarch’s birthday. Pining for his stepdaughter — and niece — to dance for him, the birthday boy is thrown when she asks for the head of John the Baptist on a silver platter in exchange for her performance.
