|About||NZAC is a community of 4000+ members, active in our mountains and crags since 1891.|
The objectives of the Club are to encourage mountaineering, rock climbing and allied activities and the enjoyment and conservation of mountain and rock climbing regions; and to bring together those interested in climbing.
The Club aims to provide services for climbers, protect the interests and safety of climbers, and promote climbing activities.
Established in 1891 the New Zealand Alpine Club (NZAC) exists to encourage mountaineering, rock climbing and allied activities, the enjoyment and conservation of mountain regions; and to bring together those interested in climbing. The club has over 3800+ members throughout NZ and overseas.
