|About||A great place to learn Traditional Chinese Martial Arts and Daoyin. Sense of humor, high quality teaching, massive amounts of experience. Our goal is to make you richer, stronger, smarter, funnier and better looking.|
|Mission||A place to explore Internal Martial Arts, improvisational theater, Kung Fu, Daoist mediation, Dance as Self-Defense, and much more.|
Scott Park Phillips teaches Chen style Tai Chi, an art known for making people stronger, smarter, richer and better looking. He also teaches the highest level of Qigong imaginable, maybe even higher. And he is the inventor of Angry Baby Bagua, the original style of Baguazhang based on spinning, spiraling, and developing a lotus body.
Scott teaches the golden elixir of immortality (jindan) which comes from the establishment of a pure, quiet, empty body. We do standing meditation five days a week year round.
Scott is also a master of Northern Shaolin, Liuhe Xinyi, and many weapons. He teaches the bulk of self-defense and power training techniques inside of dances like the Waltz and Samba. Push-hands too. Expect to have maximum explosive fun.
Scott is the author of Possible Origins, a Cultural History of Chinese Martial Arts Theater and Religion (2016), and numerous other published works.
