The Northampton Poetry Review is a new online literary journal based in Northamptonshire, UK. It’s mission is to give voice to new poetry, fiction and non-fiction.
Primarily aimed at writers with a connection to Northamptonshire, the NPR is also open to submissions from friends from afar.
Each NPR issue is themed. As well as writing tied to the theme, the NPR will feature great new writing across a variety of topics.
Any writing about NPR's patron saint John Clare is also encouraged.
The patron saint of the NPR is the Northamptonshire poet John Clare. Clare was a lover of the natural world and loved to catalogue and ramble through the Northamptonshire countryside. In his later years he was institutionalised, as his doctor described, after ‘years addicted to poetical prosings'
