|About||Assemblyman Jim Tedisco and Senator Phil Boyle sponsor NYS Animal Advocacy Day-a bi-partisan event to further protect our companion pets from cruelty.|
New York State Residents: NYS Animal Advocacy Day: We continue our advocacy as we have had successful AA Days, at the well of the Legislative Office Building in Albany, NY. Thank you for your support with NYS Animal Advocacy Day and the support of the bills to strengthen Buster's Animal Cruelty Law in NYS. We continue to advocate for these bills throughout the year and into the next Legislative session. We will update on a continual basis..This page is a page for animal advocates who live in the state of New York who want to advocate on behalf of our companion pets. By advocating, we mean- writing to your Assembly and Senate member asking them to sponsor the legislative bills that were presented at Animal Advocacy Day and new bills coming up.. We are still working on statewide animal abuse registry database bill to get passed along with other legislative bills-(Bills are listed in Notes section) We are also asking people to contact their District Attorney in the area where they live if there is an animal cruelty case going on there, so that the DA will be encouraged to use and enforce Buster's animal cruelty law. The next annual (7th) Animal Advocacy Day will take place the first week of June 2017 (date to be announced soon) to further advocate-where the Assembly and Senate members, shelters, rescues, law enforcement, DA's, guest speakers, etc. gather together to speak, educate and network and further advocate for the legislative bills. Prior to the speaking program, booths are set up displaying brochures, flyers, info about the various shelter and rescue groups-if you want your group represented there, contact Senator Tedisco's office) These are our goals and thank you so very much for caring about speaking up for our pets..to protect them from abuse...
Please continue to ask your representative in your district to support the bills presented. We will accomplish our goals to strengthen Buster's animal cruelty law and look forward in planning the upcom
