OccmedSolutions is a medical practice specialising in Occupational, Pain and Aviation Medicine. We also have Physiotherapists and Clinical Psychologists working from our primary location.
Our Occupational Physicians and Physiotherapists have developed a comprehensive knowledge and experience whilst working with numerous industries in South Australia. OccmedSolutions currently supplies health services to the mining, defence, transport, maritime, meat and manufacturing industries. As a result we have first hand knowledge of industry specific hazards and risks and the specialist skill required to screen prospective employees for a wide range of industries.
Workplace injuries are not only a concern, but can be very costly to both employees and employers. A quick and timely return to work, where possible, is essential. By working with all parties we will try and get the worker back to work whilst setting out plans that will minimise any further risk to the employee’s injury or exposure the employer to further claims for injury.
A return to work may be arranged for the worker in alternative roles, where they are available or possibly in a staged return to the pre injury role.
We understand that a business will often require pre employment medical assessments for workers at short notice and we strive to provide appointments within three days of contact. On completion of an assessment, a copy of the prospective worker’s assessment is scanned and forwarded to you that day via email in order to assist you with your employment decision without further delay.
Occmedsolutions is one of the few approved specialist practices involved in RTWSA’s “Second Opinion Medicine” Scheme. As such our Doctors will see patients with complicated RTWSA claims where normal treatment is not progressing their recovering as quickly as their treating doctor would expect. After an examination, we will liaise with their GP to developing a treatment plan that will see the injured worker
